Description
The details series started as a series of self-portraits. It was a personal project with the goal of learning more about my own body, of becoming comfortable with myself both behind and in front of the camera. Titled 'details' because of the abundance of freckles, wrinkles, stretch marks, protruding bones, veins and curves which make up our bodies, the photographs show the body in its natural state. I will not be retouching skin to make it appear smooth and doll-like or remove any of the supposed imperfections. I hope to photograph as many people as I can and create an environment where they can feel comfortable in their skin.
